Boulder County Artist, Linda O’Neill was recently commissioned by The Guide Dogs For The Blind organization to create their 2006 Holiday Card.
Linda is best known for her dog portrait paintings and has completed more than 100 commissions for dog lovers nationwide. She feels very fortunate and honored to be able to work with Guide Dogs this year. “It’s an organization that is very dear to my heart.” she says. “I was raised in Marin County, California and remember seeing the Guide Dogs being trained on the streets of San Rafael. Whatever people can do to help raise money for them is a great thing.”
Linda was asked to create a painting showing a snowy scene with two aspiring Guide Dog Puppies admiring the fully trained adult Golden Retriever Guide Dog. Proceeds from the sale of the cards support The Guide Dogs For The Blind organization. The gift box comes with 10 full-color cards with envelopes available blank inside or with a greeting for $11.00. You can help support Guide Dogs by buying these cards. The cards will be available on their website, http:///www.GuideDogs.com, beginning mid-July.
